  254.                   hasn't seen it before [according to TomCat!])

  256.           All other entries are taken literally from the display
  257.           directory.  Files will appear in the order listed.  The
  258.           default is PRELOG, BIRTHDAY, SEC, QSEC, HELLO1 to HELLO9.
  259.           Any HELLO= entries will override all default files.
  260.  
  261.         - the format of the PACKER= entry in the TOMCAT.CFG file has
  262.           changed in order to support multiple packers.  The new format
  263.           is:
  264.                 PACKER = P , Generic Packer , PAK , PACK a ! , UNPACK -o !
  265.  
  266.           The first field (fields are separated by commas) is the
  267.           selection letter, the second field is the description
  268.           presented to the user, the third field is the standard file
  269.           extension (used for auto-identification of .REP packets),
  270.           and the fourth and fifth fields are the old PACKER= and
  271.           UNPACKER= fields.
  272.  
  273.           The defaults are as follows:
  274.  
  275.                 PACKER = Z , PKZIP/PKUNZIP , ZIP , pkzip -es ! , pkunzip -o !
  276.                 PACKER = A , PKPAK/PKUNPAK , ARC , pkpak -a !  , pkunpak -r !
  277.                 PACKER = L , LHARC         , LZH , lharc a !   , lharc x -m !
  278.  
  279.           Any PACKER= entries will override all default settings.
  280.  
  281.           Please note that you WILL get an error starting up this
  282.           version for the first time if you have an old PACKER= entry
  283.           in your .CFG file and you have not updated it.  Please be
  284.           sure to test the new configuration locally!
  285.  
  286.           When a reply packet is uploaded, TomCat! will attempt to
  287.           identify the packer used to create the packet.  If it can't
  288.           identify it, then the user will be asked to supply the
  289.           information.  Currently, TomCat! will identify the following
  290.           packers: PKZIP, PKPAK, LHARC, and ZOO.
  291.  
  292.         - Wildcat! external protocols are now supported.  If an external
  293.           protocol has selection letter Z, however, it will NOT be
  294.           listed since TomCat! has its own internal Zmodem transfer
  295.           routines (an external protocol with letter Z is assumed to
  296.           be Zmodem).
  297.  
  298.         - there is now a [C]onfiguration menu...this is mostly just
  299.           a reorganization in preparation for some more features
  300.  
  301.         - the communcations port is reinitialized on return from
  302.           an external protocol - this may solve some "lockup"
  303.           problems
  304.  
  305.         - if there is only one packer choice, the question is skipped
  306.  
  307.         - a bug that prevented any transfer protocols from working
  308.           when the user had a default protocol selected in their
  309.           Wildcat! settings was fixed
  310.  
  311.         - a new config option EXTERNAL= specifies the external protocols
  312.           that will be available in TomCat.  The default is none.
  313.           Example:      EXTERNAL = BT
  314.  
  315.         - a new config option NOBULL= specifies which bulletins are
  316.           NOT to be sent.  The default is none.
  317.           Example:      NOBULL = 26,32,55
  318.           Bulletin numbers can be separated by commas or spaces.
  319.           There should only be one NOBULL= specification, further
  320.           ones will override previous settings.  All bulletins (there
  321.           may be up to 20) must all be on one line.  No error message
  322.           is issued if you exceed 20 bulletins.
  323.  
  324.         - the ANSIBULLS option in TOMCAT.CFG has been removed - this
  325.           information is now in the TCUSER.DAT file.
  326.  
  327.         - TomCat! now exits with errorlevel 10 if the Dos-next flag
  328.           flag is set.  You can then do something like
  329.                 if not errorlevel 2 then cat.bat
  330.           at the end of your TOMCAT.BAT file.
  331.  
  332.         - the user's transfer protocol and packer selection are now
  333.           set in the configuration menu of TomCat!
  334.  
  335.         - added a user configuration option that allows them to choose
  336.           whether they want their own mail sent to them in the packet

  379.         - network file sharing with text files is now handled properly

  381.         - new menu option "[N]ew files/bulletins date" resets the
  382.           user's new files scan date (used for both files and bulletins)

  384.         - since no mail readers can handle packets with more than
  385.           200 messages in a folder, TomCat! will now never send such
